Are you experiencing issues with your Vodacom connection? Well, if yes, find solace in the fact that you aren’t alone. A lot of people are complaining about an outage of sorts with no service reception and consequently no LTE.

Here are some reports:

As you can see, some users have been facing this issue since last night, so it could be that the outage has slowly became widespread now. We are yet to come across an official word from Vodacom at the moment though.

Their support teams, however, are attending to the complaints.

Update 1 (Oct 14)

Vodacom users are facing network or service related issues as of writing this. Here are some reports:

While complaints continue proliferating, Vodacom is suggesting users to manually select the network and reboot the device.

Update 2 (Oct 14)

Vodacom is aware of connectivity issues in Guateng. But sadly there’s no ETA for the fix as yet.

Update 3 (Oct 14)

Vodacom says the issue has been resolved, and here’s what users need to do to get things back up:

  1. Switch your device off/on to refresh the sim card and device.
  2. Change your Network mode to another option (GSM Only/3 G Only).
  3. Do a manual Network selection and choose MTN/Cell C/Telkom Mobile. You will receive an error. Repeat the process and then choose Vodacom.

Update 4 (May 20, 2021)

Vodacom servers are down as of writing this, and users are unable to make or receive calls. What’s good is that the issue has been officially confirmed and a fix is underway. Here’s what support says:

Update 5 (July 05, 2021)

Vodacom Fiber has gone down again and there have been a slew of complaints on social media about the outage. Down Detector has also seen a big spike in reports.

Update 6 (July 06, 2021)

Vodacon now says that they have resolved the issues affecting fiber for good.

Update 7 (January 16, 2023)

12:40 pm (IST): According to fresh reports (1, 2, 3), Vodacom is currently down or not working for a section of users.

Fortunately, the support team has acknowledged the problem and they are working to resolve it.

07:03 pm (IST): The recent outage with Vodacom appears to have been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports.
