Is Tumblr down, not working? Well, that’s what the latest user reports on Twitter and Downdetector – a service that gives a realtime overview of outages and other issues – reflects.

Users basically report that Tumblr is down and celebrity accounts – like that of Taylor Swift – are showing as in they’ve been deactivated. Here are some reports:

Before fan freakout, here’s what’s actually happening. It’s apparently Tumblr that is encountering outage issues in general, because of which certain celebrity accounts are conveying they’ve been deactivated.

Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, well, it’s yet to come. But be informed, we’re keeping a continuous tab on the service’s social media and other official channels for more information.

11:30 am (IST): According to reports on Downdetector and Twitter, it seems that Tumblr is currently down or not working. This is preventing many from browsing or posting content on the platform.

Update 2 (November 02, 2022)

10:43 am (IST): Fresh reports on Twitter and Downdetector suggest that Tumblr is currently down or not working for many.

07:27 pm (IST): According to Downdetector, the recent outage with Tumblr has now been resolved.

Update 3 (November 18, 2022)

08:35 am (IST): Some Tumblr users have taken to Twitter to report (1, 2, 3, 4) that the service is down and not working for a section of users.

09:48 am (IST): Reports are still pouring in on Twitter (1,2,3) where users are still unable to access Tumblr. Downdetector suggests the same.

10:55 am (IST): Tumblr support has confirmed that the issue has been addressed.
