New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 04, 2022) follows:

Since its launch, Spotify has firmly established itself as one of the most popular music streaming services in the world.

Spotify offers multiple features that enrich the experience. For instance, Spotify Radio is a kind of playlist-based ‘music experience’ where all the songs have the same ‘mood’.

The ‘mood’ of the Spotify Radio playlists is set by the same artists. That said, it seems that the feature is not working correctly at the moment.

Spotify Radio not working or playing only 1-3 songs

According to multiple reports, the Spotify Radio feature has been behaving erratically in the last few hours.

To access the ‘Spotify Radio’ of a particular artist or band, you just have to look for the ‘Go to song radio’ option when a song is playing.

Playlists usually have around 50 songs. But currently, there is an issue where Spotify Radio is only playing 1-3 songs in most cases.

Apparently the issue is only affecting the Spotify mobile app as everything seems to be working properly from the PC version. Also, the typical troubleshooting (clear cache, delete app and reinstall) doesn’t work as a fix.

This morning, my Song Radio was working perfectly, with all 50 tracks playing based on the musical stylings of Lizzo’s “Juice”. Tonight, when I attempted to keep listening to that playlist because I was enjoying it so much, it had been cut down to only 2 songs.

No official acknowledgment

At the time of writing this story there is no official acknowledgment of the issue from the Spotify team. So it is not yet known if they are aware of the situation.

We will update this story as new developments on the matter emerge.
