Optimum provides both internet and TV services in multiple areas in the United States.

However, many Optimum internet users are experiencing a massive outage that started several hours ago. So, they are currently unable to use the company’s internet services (1, 2, 3).

Optimum internet down or not working

Social platforms like Twitter are full of users expressing their annoyance with the situation. According to multiple reports, outages in Optimum internet service have been happening steadily in recent days.

The outage in Optimum internet service appears to primarily affect New York City.

Furthermore, the issue is also reflected on the Down Detector platform:

The Optimum team is already aware of the outage in its internet services. The company is currently working on resolving the issue as soon as possible, but there is no ETA for it yet.

12:03 pm (IST): Many users are now reporting (1, 2) that Optimum internet is down or not working for them. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also confirm the same.

01:49 pm (IST): Fresh user reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent outage with Optimum has been resolved.

12:52 pm (IST): Many Optimum internet users are reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) that the service is currently down or not working for them.

Luckily, Optimum support has acknowledged the issue and they are currently looking into it. However, they didn’t provide any ETA for the fix.

06:54 pm (IST): The recent outage with Optimum internet appears to have been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports.

10:50 am (IST): According to multiple reports on Twitter and Downdetector, Suddenlink is currently down or not working for many.

07:15 pm (IST): It appears that the recent outage with Suddenlink has now been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports on Downdetector.

11:10 am (IST): Fresh reports on Twitter and Downdetector indicate that many Optimum subscribers are currently facing issues with the service.

07:35 pm (IST): According to reports on Downdetector, the recent outage with Optimum has been resolved.

Update 7 (September 13, 2022)

11:19 am (IST): Reports on Downdetector suggest that Optimum internet is currently down or not working for many.

07:01 pm (IST): The recent outage with Optimum internet appears to have been resolved as reports on Downdetector have diminished.

Update 8 (December 28, 2022)

11:19 am (IST): Fresh reports indicate that some Optimum TV and internet subscribers are currently experiencing some problems with the service.

Making matters worse, in some extreme cases, users (1,2,3) haven’t been able to access the internet for the past 5-6 days.

Update 9 (January 03, 2023)

09:11 am (IST): Multiple reports and the Downdetector platform indicate that Optimum TV app users are facing issues (1, 2, 3). More specifically, they are unable to login using their credentials.

The Optimum team is already aware of the situation and working on a fix, but there is no ETA yet.

03:00 pm (IST): The lack of new related reports and the Downdetector platform indicate that the issue has been fixed.
