Nokia pushed in the Android 10 update for two of its devices i.e. Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus in the beginning of this month. In fact, the update for both the devices tagged along December 2019 security patchset.
But along with the December security patchset and other Android 10 specific features, the update brought along various bugs and issues for both the devices as well.
Notably, users of the Nokia 7 Plus and 6.1 Plus have reported issues prominently regarding crackling or buzzing sound from the speaker after they upgraded their devices to Android 10.

In fact, Nokia pushed in the January 2020 security patchset for the Nokia 7 Plus smartphone that weighed 53.2 M, recently.
But, this update does not seem to fix the sound crackling bug and users are still reporting the issue after updating their Nokia 7 Plus with this January update.
Not only the Nokia 7 Plus has been surfaced with this sound crackling issue, but even Nokia 6.1 Plus users have also reported the same after the Android 10 update.
Moreover, the January patch also does not seem to fix this issue, which the Nokia 6.1 bagged a few days ago and users of both the devices are awaiting a fix for this issue.
Note that users took to Twitter to report this issue and the official handle of Nokia Mobile India has responded that they have made a note of this issue and they’ve notified the relevant team.
It will be interesting to see what Nokia does in order to fix this bug for both the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus users. Till then, we will keep you in the loop until we have more information in this regard.
