New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on July 25, 2022) follows:
MultiVersus is a free-to-play crossover fighting game that lets you choose some of the most iconic characters from Warner Bros.
The game has received a positive response from gamers, but it is still in the early access stage, so there are some bugs and issues that might affect your gaming experience.
Among them are lag and latency issues that some MultiVersus players have been experiencing. According to reports, these issues sometimes make the game unplayable during matches (1,2,3,4).
Many have confirmed that the latency issues persist even if you have a decent internet connection. Source
For some, the connection status constantly shows orange or red bars. For those unaware, the connection status ideally should be green for the best performance and the least latency.
These issues aren’t limited to a specific platform either. Both PC and console players have been reporting about them.
Official acknowledgment
Fortunately, Warner Bros. Games support has acknowledged the MultiVersus lag or latency issues and is currently investigating them. However, there is no ETA for a fix at the moment.
Potential workaround
Meanwhile, you can try these troubleshooting steps to potentially reduce the lag during matches.
We’ll update our article as we get more information.
