Are you experiencing issue with PlayStation party chat feature? Well, find solace in the fact that you aren’t alone. We’re currently seeing a lot of reports from users of Sony’s gaming consoles who say party chat keeps disconnecting for them.

For its part, as far as PlayStation social media handles are concerned, Sony is yet to say anything about this issue. Rest assured, we are keeping an active tab on the matter, and will update the story as and when the problem gets fixed or there’s any more newsworthy development.

Going by reports proliferating across Twitter, Playstation is down and not working for many right now. Users aren’t able to play online or use party chat. Here are some of the reports:

PSN is down and not working as of writing this. Apart from reports on Twitter, down detector also conveys the same. The service status page, however, doesn’t reflect any issue.

Update 11 (June 3, 2022)

Many gamers have taken to Twitter to report that the Friend list is not loading for them. Unfortunately, the support team has not yet acknowledged this issue.

Update 12 (January 18, 2023)

PSN (PlayStation Network) party chat feature is currently down or not working, affecting PS4 and PS5 console users alike (1, 2, 3).

Update 13 (January 18, 2023)

The lack of new reports related to the issue indicates that the PSN party chat feature is working properly again.
