Looks like IMVU (a popular 3D avatar based social network) is currently not accessible. Users have started taking to platforms like Twitter to share that the service is not working. The error message they get says the IMVU servers are currently unreachable.

As said earlier, this looks like a server issue. It could be because of some kind of maintenance work or could be a problem at the company’s end. Given that many users have pointed out the service goes down frequently, it’s quite possible this outage is due to an issue.
For its part, IMVU hasn’t said anything on the matter at least on Twitter (the only platform where complaints are currently pouring in).

We managed to dig out a related thread on the service’s official forum where-in a ‘Moderator’ confirms the service is currently facing issues. Here’s what they exactly said:
So from their language, it looks like there are more than one problems at the moment.

01:04 pm (IST): According to fresh reports (1, 2), IMVU is currently down or not working for many. Unfortunately, the support team hasn’t yet acknowledged the outage.

07:13 pm (IST): It appears that the recent outage with IMVU is now resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports on Twitter.
Update 7 (November 2, 2022)
10:13 am (IST): A lot of reports have emerged on Twitter suggesting that IMVU is currently down. Downdetector also shows a major spike that points to the fact that it is currently experiencing an outage.
Update 8 (November 3, 2022)
10:37 am (IST): Reports on Downdetector suggest that the recent outage with IMVU has now been resolved.
Update 9 (January 12, 2023)
12:03 pm (IST): Multiple IMVU users report that the avatar based social network is currently down or not working (1, 2, 3).
2:00 pm (IST): The outage that was affecting the IMVU servers is fixed now.
