Just in case you’re trying to get your head around why Xfinity services aren’t working for you, find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately. A quick look at the micro-blogging site Twitter conveys there are many others affected by the same issue.

For a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem:

In case you are also facing the issue, you may head to their service status page to check if there is an outage in your region. If you’re new to the process, you may head here for instruction regarding this.

Any official word on the matter? Negative, as yet. We’re yet to locate a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.

Rest assured, we’re keeping a continuous tab on all related developments, and will update this page with relevant info as and when we come across any. So in case you’re encountering the problem discussed here, stay hooked for updates.

Update 1 (March 16)

Going by the latest information coming from services like Down Detector, it appears that Comcast is also having an outage in some regions as of now. Take a look at the outage map below:

While Comcast outages are usually region-specific, it could be the case of regular maintenance as well. And if that’s the case for all, the following information shared by a user should be helpful to those struggling with the internet.

Update 4 (March 16)

We are seeing user reports wherein it’s shown the company says the outage has been resolved. However, among users, not everyone is of the same view.

Update 5 (March 17)

Looks like the Xfinity service is under maintainence today, after suffering a massive outage yesterday. The maintainence, as you can see in the screenshot shared by a user here, is of around 6 hours.

Update 6 (March 18)

We are still seeing user reports that say the Xfinity service has been having issues for hours now (last 12 hours in this case).

Update 7 (March 18)

The Xfinity internet issues seems to be never ending at the moment as we are now seeing a sudden spike in complaints again.

It’s difficult to say if any specific regions are affected and/or if it’s even an issue or scheduled maintenance. The Xfinity support, meanwhile, is only giving generic responses at least on Twitter.

Update 8 (April 26)

Going by reports surfacing on Twitter, it appears Comcast is undergoing an outage as of writing this.

Apart from user reports, the Down detector also conveys an outage in some of the regions (as can be seen in the map below):

Update 9 (April 26)

A user has now shared the Maintenance notification which explains the internet issues.

Additionally, Support has also shared that the Xfinity Connect app has now been discontinued. Here’s what they said:

It looks like some Comcast users are again facing an outage of sorts right now. From comments on the Down Detector page to user comments on Twitter to other services that track service outages, we are seeing fresh reports of the issue pouring in from multiple directions.

Update 19 (May 25)

Reports on Twitter convey Xfinity/Comcast servers are encountering an outage as of writing this. Down detector also reflects the same.

Update 20 (May 26)

Looks like Xfinity/Comcast is going through an outage in some of the regions.

Update 21 (June 23)

Many Xfinity users have been reporting that the internet service has been down for a few hours now. The company hasn’t yet acknowledged the outage.

Update 22 (June 28)

Once again, it seems Xfinity users in certain areas are experiencing connection issues as the service is undergoing an outage. There’s yet to come an official confirmation regaring the problem today.

Update 23 (November 09)

11:32 am (IST): Fresh reports on Twitter and Downdetector indicate that Xfinity users are facing issues with the internet services around the San Francisco area, Chicago, and a few other cities.

12:41 pm (IST): User reports indicate that the service has been restored or is at least in the process of being restored.

Update 24 (November 10)

05:29 pm (IST): Xfinity support did put out a tweet confirming that the service was being restored and the root cause was being identifed after the outage yesterday. However, there’s been no follow-up to this.

Update 25 (December 06)

11:50 am (IST): Fresh reports on Downdetector indicate that Xfinity users are facing issues with the service in multiple parts of the country.

At present, there’s no official word on the outage but we’ll keep an eye out for any developments on the subject and will post an update if and when we come across any.

Update 26 (December 07)

12:20 pm (IST): It seems Xfinity users can’t catch a break. Multiple fresh reports on Twitter as well as Downdetector indicate that the service is still down for some users. Xfinity hasn’t acknowledged any outage yet.

Update 27 (December 08)

06:29 pm (IST): Diminishing reports on Downdetector and social media platforms such as Twitter suggest that the outage with Xfinity services has been resolved for the most part.

Update 28 (December 16)

01:05 pm (IST): Earlier today, many users stormed Twitter and Downdetector to report that Xfinity was down and not working. However, things seemed to have stabilized now and the service has returned to normal according to reports.

Xfinity hasn’t confirmed or denied the outage yet.

Update 29 (December 17)

02:25 pm (IST): While some users are still facing issues with the service, the major outage appears to have been resolved as there are no widespread reports of issues with Xfinity. Downdetector also indicates no issues with the service.

09:39 am (IST): Recently, the Xfinity subscribers have encountered an internet, TV, and Voice outage that lasted for a few hours. And when a user asked about compensation for this outage, this is what Xfinity support has to say.

10:04 am (IST): Many users have reported that Xfinity is down or not working for them. However, things appear to have stabilized now.

Also, Xfinity support has informed users that the issue with their service has been resolved.

08:55 am (IST): Many frustrated Xfinity users have taken to Twitter to report that their internet, as well as TV, isn’t working. The company still hasn’t acknowledged any widespread outage.

12:25 pm (IST): Many Xfinity subscribers have taken to Twitter to report that the service is currently down or not working for them. Also, reports on Downdetector convey the same.

06:53 pm (IST): It appears that the recent outage with Xfinity has now been resolved we haven’t come across any fresh reports on Downdetector.

Update 36 (September 8)

04:58 pm (IST): According to reports on Twitter, some Xfinity subscribers were facing issues with the service a few hours ago. However, things appear to have stabilized now.

08:41 am (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter to report (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) that Xfinity’s email service is currently down and not working.

The company’s support did acknowledge the problem and confirmed that a fix is in the works.

06:50 pm (IST): The recent outage with Xfinity’s email service appears to have been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh reports on Twitter.

09:18 am (IST): Multiple recent reports (1, 2, 3, 4) indicate that Xfinity internet as well as streaming services are currently down for many users. There is still no official acknowledgment on the outage.

Update 40 (October 12, 2022)

11:48 am (IST): While the widespread outage affecting internet services and the streaming app has been resolved. A limited number of users are still reporting that thier internet is not working.

Update 41 (October 13, 2022)

04:00 pm (IST): Considering there haven’t been any new reports of the recent Xfinity outage on Downdetector, the issue appears to be fixed.

Update 42 (October 19, 2022)

10:22 am (IST): An expeditious spike in the number of reports on Downdetector suggest that Xfinity is currently down or not working for many. Subscribers are reporting issues with the Wi-Fi.

Update 43 (October 20, 2022)

05:45 pm (IST): The outage with Xfinity appears to have been resolved as there aren’t any reports indicating widespread issues with the Wi-Fi service, as indicated on Downdetector.
