New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 25, 2022) follows:
It uses Wi-Fi to connect with an Alexa app on your mobile phone from where you can control the Thermostat’s functions.
This issue starts when one uses an Alexa voice command to instruct the thermostat to set temperature. But instead, it replies back saying ‘Thermostat doesn’t support that’.
Due to this, those affected have to change the temperature manually on the Thermostat or via the Alexa app using touch commands.
Also, when users try to set up a schedule, they get 3 dots scrolling along the bottom of the screen and the scheduling fails. It happens no matter what day they select.
Some have tried basic troubleshooting methods like factory resetting the device, reinstalling the Alexa app, and renaming and removing the Smart Thermostat but the issue still persists.
Issue acknowledged
