Original story (from Dec 30) follows:
Coming straight to the sad news, CorePack has decided to pull the plug after the recent Need For Speed Heat crack leak. A few hours back, a community admin at CorePacks forum shared the information saying:
NFS Heat crack leak incident
As some of you may know, in order to protect against copying, NFS Heat holds digital rights security system called the Denuvo. But who can stop hackers from eliminating these protections from the games? That’s how the cracked versions of popular games get into being. Right?
Shedding some light on the NFS Heat incident, someone tagged as the admin at CrackWatch (a platform to check security status of new video games) subreddit recently explained that one of the amateur testers presumably leaked an unfinished CODEX crack of NFS heat.
And the leaked crack unveils the exploits that have been used to crack Denuvo.
As for CorePack’s termination, the site will, however, be functional for another “24-48 hours” as has been stated in the service termination post at the forum. Here’s the final word from the admin to put down the hopes of those thinking about a comeback:
This is why Christsnatcher says that this could be the start of a long period without Denuvo cracks. Of course, this doesn’t affect CPY, but it definitely affects CODEX.
So at least for the time being, there appears no plan for the comeback. Sad, but that’s how it is. Here’s a screengrab of the complete goodbye post for those who wish to take a look:
The site will stay online for 24-48 hours for you to collect anything you want.
Update 1 (Dec 31) – ShivShubh’s side of the story
ShivShubh, who was earlier accused for the NFS Heat leak has shared what exactly happened in form of a goodbye post at the CorePack community.
Going by what they say, THE KNIGHT (who was reportedly handed the crack a few days back by someone and asked to make a repack out of it) shared the repack with ShivShubh, who then approached the admins for their word about posting it.
But CorePack admins suggested them “not to release the repack.” So they held it back.
When asked by ShivShubh if the repack is public already, THE KNIGHT stated it was posted by someone named DODI. Take a look at the screengrabs shared by ShivShubh that display his interaction with THE KNIGHT and CP admin Raven.
