Incoming is a service outage alert!
Is the PlayStation network down, or not working at the moment? Please be informed that the service is seemingly going through an outage in some regions which has got affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern.
Take a look at what some of those affected have to say:
Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, well, the official PSN status page has confirmed issues with Account Management and Gaming and Social. Here’s what the page says:
Be informed, we’re keeping a continuous tab on the service’s social media and other official channels for more information.
Affected services: You might have difficulty signing in or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Update 1 (September 01)
09:00 am (IST): Fresh reports on social media platforms such as Twitter indicate that users are still facing issues with the PlayStation network (PSN). The outage appears to be going on for hours, however, the official PSN status indicates that everything is operational.

04:59 pm (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter to report that PlayStation Network (PSN) is down or not working for them. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also suggest the same.
Luckily, Ubisoft team has come out to acknowledge this outage on their part, however, other game makers and PSN support itself is yet to address it.
Update 02 (March 24, 2022)
11:15 am (IST): It seems that everything has now returned to normal as the PSN service status page shows that all services are up and running.
Update 03 (April 13, 2022)
12:55 pm (IST): It appears that PlayStation Network is currently down or not working for many. Users are reporting that they are getting ws-37469-9 error. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also confirm the same.
Update 04 (April 16, 2022)
01:33 pm (IST): The recent outage with Playstation Network is seemingly resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh user reports on Downdetector.

10:05 am (IST): Many users have taken to Twitter to report that PlayStation Network is currently down or not working for them. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also suggest the same.

12:29 pm (IST): Many gamers have taken to Twitter (1, 2) to report that PlayStation Network is down or not working for them. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also suggest the same.

04:09 pm (IST): According to reports on Downdetector, the recent outage with PlayStation Network has now been resolved.

10:02 am (IST): Multiple user reports (1, 2, 3) suggest that PlayStation Network is currently down or not working for many.

07:08 pm (IST): According to reports on Downdetector, the recent outage with PlayStation Network has now been resolved.
Update 09 (Jan. 25, 2023)
09:05 am (IST): The Playstation Store (PS Store) is down for some gamers as they are getting an ‘error code WC-40383-8’ when trying to access.
09:40 am (IST): Playstation Store is now available again, it seems that the issues were fixed since no new related reports have emerged.
Downdetector also reflects the increasing reports related to problems on the PSN platform.
