New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 30, 2021) follows:

iD Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the UK that offers various services such as monthly contracts for 24 months along with phone, SIM cards, refurbished phones, easy payments schemes, and more.

The key benefits of this service include bill capping, tethering, and rollover of unused data allowance over to next month. Launched in May 2015, iD Mobile has gradually grown its user base in the UK over a period of time.

The service was working fine until some iD Mobile users began receiving emails regarding unpaid bills even after making complete payments.

Furthermore, the emails mentioned that their account will be suspended if the bills remain outstanding.

The users have already paid their due balance through DD, while the amount in their account is showing nothing but ‘0’. Also, these users are unable to sign in to their accounts.

Resulting from excessive traffic coming from the inquiring and restless users of the service, the iD Mobile app and the website even crashed. After getting frustrated by this problem, they have reported it on the community forum of iD Mobile.

This clearly seems to be a widespread issue, after looking at the multiple reports [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] on the forum. And it needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Fortunately, the company has acknowledged this error and asked its users to stay calm. The iD Mobile Experience Team has replied to the cause saying that they are looking into the notification error.

Moreover, the teams stated that, due to the iD Mobile Balance errors, the number of users has increased on the app and website, causing failure. As a result, the ID Mobile application and My Account online may not be available for some customers.

The company is looking into this issue and trying to fix these annoying issues soon. However, no ETA has been provided as to when these annoying bugs will be completely sorted.

We hope that the company soon comes out with a permanent solution for this iD Mobile Balance error and get the service back on track. We will keep you updated regarding the further development of the story, so stay tuned.
