Original story (published on April 28) follows:

It seems a few bugs have surfaced the Google Chrome browser. As per several reports, users are getting “STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION” and “STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH” errors whenever they are trying to open any website.

The problem seems to be with the version number Chrome Version 81.0.4044.92, though it is unclear what is the reason causing this issue on the Google Chrome browser.

Several users have tried reinstalling Windows 10 as well as the Chrome browser to no luck as they continue getting these errors while using the web browser.

In fact, users have also reported that in order to temporarily fix this issue, they have to refresh the page, multiple times, before this issue starts surfacing again.

Check out some of the detailed reports below:

There are several other users who have reported similar errors and bugs reports in the official Google support page. And the reports related to “STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH” are also more in number, the reason behind the issue, of course is unknown.

As far as the solution is concerned, Google is yet to acknowledge this issue surfacing the Google Chrome browser. Moreover, it is also not clear whether a Windows update is the culprit behind this issue or the Google Chrome update is to be blamed.

The reports are yet to escalated to the concerned department. We will keep our eyes on this matter and will keep you updated about any further development in this regard.
