Just in case you’re trying to get your head around why the popular British telecom and internet service provider Three UK’s network is down, and you’re not getting any data connection, then find solace in the fact that you aren’t the only one facing issues lately.

A quick look at micro-blogging site Twitter conveys there are many other affected by the network issue and that the service has been down for hours now. For a quick glance, here’s how some of the complainants word the problem:

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also reflects that 3 (Three) UK is indeed going through a glitch in many regions (like Manchester, London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Bradford, Nottingham, Edinburgh & Sheffield) as can be seen in the image below:

Any official word on the matter? While not much has been stated on Three’s social media handles, their server status page at least conveys a maintenance is going on, and the site will be up soon.

There’s no ETA for how long will the service take to get back up.

The glitch has been addressed and the service seems to be getting back to normal, but may take time. The server status however still reflects a maintenance.

Update 4 (August 04, 2021)

Three UK has confirmed that they’re aware of the network or broadband issues with the service that has been affecting many users. However, there’s no ETA for a fix, yet.

Update 5 (January 25, 2022)

Some users are now reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) that they are unable to access services like Netflix, Instagram, and Snapchat on Three network in the UK.

Fortunately, ThreeUKSupport has responded to this issue and said that they are currently investigating it. Moreover, Netflix has also acknowledged it on their behalf and they too are aware of this problem.

We hope that it gets resolved soon so that users can use these three services once again. Rest assured, we will keep tabs on the latest development and update you as and when anything new comes up.

Update 6 (March 15, 2022)

05:02 pm (IST): Many users on Twitter are now reporting that Three UK is down or not working for them.

Fortunately, it didn’t take too long for the support to acknowledge it and they said that the team is working to resolve it. However, they did not provide any ETA for the fix.

Update 7 (March 19, 2022)

11:20 am (IST): It seems that the recent issue with Three UK is resolved as we didn’t come across any fresh reports for the same.

Update 8 (April 04, 2022)

05:19 pm (IST): It seems that Three is currently down or not working for users in Ireland. Users have taken to Twitter (1, 2) to report the outage. Moreover, reports on Downdetector also suggest the same.

Fortunately, the support team has acknowledged this outage and said that they are working to restore the service.

Update 9 (April 06, 2022)

06:30 pm (IST): Reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent outage with Three in Ireland is seemingly resolved.

Update 10 (August 01, 2022)

01:19 pm (IST): Fresh reports on Twitter and Downdetector suggest that Three UK is again down or not working for many.

07:05 pm (IST): Three UK support has confirmed that the recent outage with their service has now been resolved.

Update 11 (November 10, 2022)

04:40 pm (IST): Three clients are currently unable to access the Three+ app due to overloaded capacity on their servers.

Apparently, the problem is being caused by the high demand for tickets to the Peter Kay show, which can also be purchased through the Three+ app.

It’s worth pointing out that O2 Priority customers are facing the same situation.

Update 12 (November 21, 2022)

03:14 pm (IST): Fresh reports suggest that there is currently an outage affecting Three UK mobile network services.

The Three UK support team is already aware of the issue and working to resolve it, but there is no ETA yet.

Update 12 (December 1, 2022)

03:45 pm (IST): Three UK users are flooding Twitter with reports (1,2,3,4) about being unable to place calls.

The company’s support team confirmed that they have fixed the issue. However, we still see reports coming in.
