Ranbir Kapoor has had a great run lately. After the much-anticipated drama Brahmastra’s trailer was released, the actor made waves. Ranbir made headlines once more after images from Shamshera went viral on social media, just as fans were going crazy over the Brahmastra trailer and eagerly anticipating its release on September 9. To be noted, Ranbir Kapoor’s tough appearance in Shamshera, which he was seen donning long hair and a beard, was leaked this morning.
And now, in response to the Shamshera poster leak, director Karan Malhotra is thrilled that the public liked Ranbir’s appearance. Karan talked about how he had plans for Shamshera, but fate had other intentions. “We wanted to start our campaign mid-next week, but it looks like fans couldn’t wait for us to begin. I don’t blame them. They have waited for too long. Ranbir is returning to the cinemas after 4 years, and it is difficult to control the excitement. I’m just glad that the reactions are great,” Karan was quoted saying. Notably, Ranbir Kapoor last appeared in the Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, which was released in 2018, and Shamshera will be his first film in four years.
Speaking of Shamshera, the heart-pounding show is set in the 1800s and tells the tale of a guy who was sold into slavery, a slave who rose to leadership, and finally a legend for his tribe. He never stops fighting for the independence and honor of his tribe. Shamshera, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the key roles, is scheduled to premiere on July 22 in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
