The shelved NBC show Manifest found a new home on the streaming service for its final and fourth season last year on what was called “828 Day” for the show. A year later, Netflix announced the program would return in November and released a Season 4 teaser and poster!

With its tagline, “Make the final connection,” the new poster once again emphasizes how important it is for the series that everything is related. The main image itself shows a hand reaching out of a vividly lighted airplane window. It’s still a mysterious picture, but one that spectators will recognize. Cal, who had a stronger bond with the Callings than most, was frequently seen gazing at a similar glow over the first three seasons. The full extent of whatever is concealed behind the glow is not yet known. However, it’s not unreasonable to expect that glow will become even more crucial in the following season given the recurrent “It’s all connected” remark.

The teaser, like the poster, combines some recognizable scenes with brand-new material for Season 4. It begins with that disastrous flight that, on November 4, 2018, brought the passengers of Flight 828 back after five and a half years. The teaser builds up the high stakes and tension viewers can expect from the upcoming season, hinting that “something’s coming” while blending a dramatic backing track and quick flashes of events. Whatever it is, it’s certain to be a significant part of the season and won’t go unnoticed given some of the enormous and bizarre occurrences that have already occurred over the course of three seasons. Additionally, the teaser makes it clear that a supernatural force of some kind will continue to play a significant part.

Season 3 finished with a frenzy of events in its last minutes, foremost of which featured Cal coming, now the same age as his twin Olive, and Grace being murdered. Season 4 will start two years after the Season 3 finale. Ben (Josh Dallas) is inconsolable in the new season after Grace’s passing and the kidnapping of his youngest daughter Eden. Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) is now the only one in charge of the lifeboat as he looks for Eden. But with the government now far more aware of the strange events involving the 828 passengers, she finds it difficult to hold onto the position without continual supervision. In the meantime, an enigmatic new traveler shows up with a bundle that contains many of the solutions the others are looking for. Captain Daly and his plane made a very brief appearance in the Season 3 finale as well. Even though he hasn’t been mentioned again, his sequence of incidents generated a few strands of their own going into Season 4.

Jeff Rake is the creator, host, and executive producer of Manifest. Executive producers include Jack Rapke, Jackie Levine, and Len Goldstein. J.R. Ramirez, Parveen Kaur, Luna Blaise, Holly Taylor, Ty Doran, Daryl Edwards, and Matt Long are included in the supporting cast.
