The Spotify lyrics feature global rollout started a few days ago. The lyrics should appear while choosing the “Now Playing” tab when listening to a song.
However, many users are reporting that the lyrics feature is not available to them on the Spotify app, no matter what they do.
Spotify lyrics not showing up for many on iOS/Android app
Spotify lyrics feature is available for both the web version and the iOS and Android app. However, many reports agree that the option is not available in the app (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).
It seems that most users have no problems with the feature in the web version of Spotify:
I have logged off and in, updated, uninstalled, and reinstalled my app and the Lyrics feature is still not showing up (however, on the browser version in my Account on desktop it works fine). What else can I do?

Owners of a family account reportedly not receiving the function yet
Some reports agree that they are the main account of a family plan. This raises suspicions that the primary user or owners of a family account would not be receiving the function yet.
Feature rolled out for specific users
The absence of the lyrics feature on Spotify app for many users may be due to that the rollout is being progressively carried out.
Also, this is something confirmed by a moderator of the Spotify support forum:
If you look at past features, it’s generally rolled out over several weeks. I know it’s tough to wait but that’s usually how most tech companies roll out new features. Source

04:29 pm (IST): A Spotify community mod recommends doing the following to potentially fix the problem:
If this doesn’t do the trick, you mentioned that you’ve already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it’s more thorough than a normal one?
In case the issue persists after following these steps, would you mind giving it a try using a different internet connection? (Source)

04:18 pm (IST): While many users are having a hard time getting the lyrics feature, it seems some are looking for ways to disable it. In case you’re one of the few, here’s what Spotify support has to say:

01:53 pm (IST): A moderator on the Spotify community has now confirmed that the lyrics feature is now available for all the users.
Update 4 (August 15, 2022)
09:45 am (IST): Many Spotify users are now reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) that lyrics function is not showing or working on Desktop app and web player.
Luckily, Spotify support has acknowledged this issue and confirmed that they are currently investigating it. In the meantime, here’s a workaround for Desktop app that might help you temporarily fix the issue.
Update 5 (August 17, 2022)
01:51 pm (IST): Spotify support has confirmed that the issue with lyrics on Desktop and web app has now been resolved.
Update 6 (December 8, 2022)
08:33 pm (IST): Spotify users are reporting that songs lyrics are no longer loading for them (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). They are just getting a ‘Couldn’t load the lyrics for this song’ error message instead of the lyrics.
05:34 pm (IST): Spotify has acknowledged the issue where the lyric feature wasn’t working for some users. The issue is currently under investigation so it should now be fixed soon.
Update 7 (January 17, 2023)
09:00 am (IST): Fresh reports indicate that now the Lyrics button is missing or disappeared for multiple Spotify users (1, 2, 3).
