Remote control not working
Another problem reported (1, 2, 3) is that the remote control no longer wants to work. According to reports, the TV Stick would be getting stuck while searching for the remote control:
Affected users indicate that they have had to use alternative methods to control the device, such as voice commands from Alexa or the Fire TV remote app.
Apps not loading (getting stuck)
The other big problem reported by users is that certain apps are getting stuck or not loading (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)
The update you should avoid: Fire OS 6.2.8.1
According to some reports, the problems started after installing the Fire OS 6.2.8.1 (NS6281/4054) update. Therefore, if you receive it, the best thing to do for now is to avoid installing it.

Luckily, the support team has acknowledged the problem and said they are working to fix it. However, they didn’t provide any ETA for the fix.
