South Indian actor Kiccha Sudeep has made a stir at the launch of the film “R: The Deadliest Gangster Ever”, when he corrected someone on the word of the term “pan-India” regarding the reach of movies in the country. “everyone says that a Kannada film was made on a pan-India level but a small correction is that Hindi is not a national language anymore”.
However, reacting to the comment, superstar Ajay Devgn tagged the Kannada actor and asked him why he releases his movies in Hindi dubbed version of his mother tongue.
“My brother, according to you if Hindi is not our national language then why do you release your mother tongue movies by dubbing them in Hindi? Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man”, he tweeted in Hindi.
Sudeep took a dig at the Hindi film industry, he also claimed that Bollywood produces many pan-India movies that are released in Tamil and Telugu but are struggling on the same scale.
However some things needed to be clarified:
- the Jan Gan Man is a Bengali
- India has no national language In contrast to this tiff Ajay Devgn has given voice overs and was also a part of the magnum opus RRR which was a huge blockbuster
- Devgn could’ve rejected the role also but he did it that too a small one as the South Indian scripts are top notch and bang on.
