So how can one make a call using Airtel Wi-Fi calls?

Remember this works on any Wi-Fi network and not just Airtel broadband.

  • You can first check if your smartphone can make Wi-Fi calls. Go to airtel.in/wifi-calling to see if your smartphone can do that.
  • At times you will find you are on an outdated OS so do upgrade it to the latest Android/iOS version for Wi-Fi calling to work.
  • Head over to the settings of the smartphone and check for Wi-Fi calling in connections or networks.
  • Switch the Wi-Fi calling on.

That’s it. You can now make calls over Wi-Fi even if you are in a basement. We tried it and the experience is quite decent We were on a 40MBPS (non-Airtel) broadband network and it was really good.
