The producer of the Scam series, Sameer Nair recently shared an update on the shoot of the second season.
Regarding Scam 2003, Nair says that currently they are done with 60% of the shoot. He further said that the show is primarily being shot in Mumbai, Pune, Karjat, and other locations.
The second season of the show has been titled ‘Scam 2003: The Telgi Story’ and takes into consideration the stamp paper scam cooked up by a fruit-seller, Abdul Karim Telgi.
The producer also says that the learnings from ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ was the importance of focusing on attention to detail and factual accuracy in bringing to life a human story of this scale.
Nair says that the OTT is currently at the same stage where television in India was back in the early 1990s.
He believes that there is a lot of competition and a lot of new people on the run, and the OTT industry is currently on a boom. The audience is taking time to settle down.
‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’ became a revolution for the OTT shows. It received a lot of love and attention from the audience and made Pratik Gandhi an overnight star.
