Rita Wilson had tripped as a result of the crowds surrounding the celebrities, triggering an angry outburst from Tom Hanks.
Tom Hanks lost his cool with some fans who were getting too close to comfort, to the point that they nearly knocked his wife Rita Wilson out. According to TMZ, the incident occurred when Hanks and Wilson were walking to their car after a night out in New York on Wednesday when they were surrounded by people seeking photographs and autographs.
A number of people approached the pair as they walked into a vehicle, begging for selfies. Wilson is then bumped by a fan, who gasps and nearly falls down. This attracts the attention of Tom Hanks, who rushes to his wife’s aid after the actor furiously warned the fans to leave Wilson alone.
“This is my wife, back the f*** off!” Hanks shouts at the fans. When one person questions what happened, Hanks added, “Knocking over my wife!”
Before leaving, Hanks gives the group of admirers a death gaze for a few seconds. They can be heard apologising to him, with one supporter claiming he was shoved into Wilson. As the audience offer further apologies for the two, Hanks follows Wilson into the car.
