Adobe Photoshop is one of the finest photo editing tools that have the ability to create, enhance, manipulate and edit images. It is mostly used by designers, graphic artists, photographers, and creative professionals.
The software was initially introduced back in 1990 and since then it received many upgrades. This tool has now become even more capable, offering a bunch of features to make your images look stand out.
However, to make use of every tool in Photoshop accurately, one needs to be professionally trained or at least know the basics.
That said, Adobe introduced the latest iteration of its image editor which is Photoshop 23.0. This new version comes with some added functionalities and enhancements over the previous one.
But, lately, some users who are using the latest release of Photoshop on touchscreen Windows devices are complaining of crashing issues.
According to reports, Photoshop 23.0 crashes when users try to zoom in or tilt the image by hand on the touch screen.
Here are some reports for reference:
As apparent from the reports above, the latest Photoshop version indeed has a glitch that is causing the app to crash. This is preventing users from using the new features it has to offer.
On the brighter side, Adobe Care has acknowledged this bug on Windows and said that they are currently working on a fix.
Moreover, the support team asked users to ensure that they have all the available Windows updates installed with the latest drivers from Microsoft and then try reinstalling the app.
In addition, Adobe Care has also provided a workaround for those using touch gestures on Windows to edit images.
The affected users can try turning off Graphics Processor from Photoshop preferences > Performance tab and then restart the app.
Furthermore, the other solution to avoid Photoshop 23.0 crashing is by downgrading to the previous version until this bug gets sorted out.
Adobe is already working on a fix that should arrive soon. Meanwhile, those affected can try the above-mentioned workaround and see if that helps.
Rest assured, we will keep you updated on the matter as and when anything new comes to our notice.
