Successor to Adobe PageMaker and Developed by Adobe Inc., Adobe InDesign is one of the few desktop publishing and page layout software. It is used by professionals worldwide to create flyers, posters, and magazines.
Currently, the software has more than 51,000 members spread across 36 countries. And as is the case with every software application, users recently reported an issue where the text was disappearing when typing in the text box.
Having said that, Adobe InDesign users are now reporting another issue where the OpenType font is getting marked as PostScript Type 1 font.
It is interesting to note that Adobe recently announced that all PostScript Type 1 fonts will be obsolete starting next year.
As a result, in the Find Font window, the OpenType font documents are getting a warning that the PostScript Type 1 should have. Many are now wondering if this is an intentional change or a bug.
As it turns out, Adobe is aware of the issue where InDesign OpenType font is being misinterpreted as PostScript Type 1. They also said that a fix is underway but did not share any ETA on when it will be patched.
Rest assured, we will be keeping an eye out on the matter and update this space as and when required so stay tuned.
