Used by millions worldwide, Roku offers powerful feature-packed media streaming devices at an affordable price. It lets its viewers enjoy their favorite movies and TV shows from different streaming services.
However, it’s not new for certain channels/apps to experience issues on Roku devices every now and then.
For instance, The CW app recently started crashing for many Roku users. The issue was soon acknowledged by the developers.
Acorn TV ‘Resume’ function not working on Roku
Roku users are currently facing an issue where they are unable to resume episodes on Acorn TV.
Many are frustrated as they cannot resume their favorite content from where they left off. Instead, the movie/episode starts playing from the beginning.
Affected users have even tried reinstalling the Acorn TV app and restarting Roku but to no avail.
Potential workaround
There is no acknowledgment of the issue yet but a Roku employee believes that the problem is likely associated with the Acorn TV channel.
Another employee has suggested removing the Acorn TV channel from the Roku home screen as a temporary workaround.
We hope that an immediate notice is taken of the issue at hand so that it can be established if it’s actually a problem on Roku’s end or not.
We’ll keep tabs on the issue where Acorn TV ‘Resume’ function is not working on Roku and update the article as and when something noteworthy comes up.
