On Tuesday, Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan says that he is having sleepless nights for the release of his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha.
At an event celebrating 25 years of PVR Cinemas, The superstar says, “I’m really nervous about the release. I have not slept for 48 hours… My brain is in overdrive. I play chess online and read books to keep myself busy. I guess I can only sleep after 11th August. I believe both Advait Chandan (director) and I will sleep like a log post the release of the film.”
The film is an official remake of the 1994’s Hollywood classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. It is scheduled to be released theatrically worldwide on Thursday. It is written by Atul Kulkarni and directed by Advait Chandan, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
Last week, hashtags calling for the boycott of Laal Singh Chaddha were trending on social media. Asked to comment on the trends, Aamir says that he was feeling sad about the boycott calls and urged the audience to not snub his film, Indian Express reports.
During the event, Khan repeats his appeal to the audience to come to watch his movie in the theatres as it is a product of years of hard work of a lot of people.
