The next time you visit EPCOT, you can feel lost if it has been a while since your last trip. That’s because this park has undergone SIGNIFICANT changes, and more are coming soon!

What is EPCOT?

Epcot is a theme park located at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. Epcot is stylized as EPCOT in all capital letters. Its ownership and operation are under the control of The Walt Disney Company’s Parks, Experiences, and Products division.

EPCOT Center, the second of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks, debuted on October 1, 1982. It was influenced by a Walt Disney concept that was never implemented. At 305 acres (1.23 km2), Epcot is more than twice as big as Magic Kingdom Park and is committed to honoring human achievement, notably technological advancement and worldwide culture. Many people refer to it as a “permanent world’s fair.”

What are the changes that will take place in EPCOT?

As part of the extensive renovation of EPCOT, a new quick-service restaurant, a table-service restaurant with a space theme, an attraction with a Ratatouille theme, a roller coaster with a Marvel theme, and countless other additions have already been constructed. Although it appears that the park has undergone all possible changes, the process is still ongoing. Disney has revealed the Moana-themed attraction’s debut day!

The EPCOT attraction Journey of Water: Inspired by Moana will open in late 2023! Visitors can interact with numerous water-related components in this prospective attraction’s walk-through setting. We expect to see lots of bubbling fountains, many waterfalls, and more.

The attraction is located in EPCOT’s World of Nature area and is described by Disney as a “lush exploration trail” where guests may “play with gorgeous, living water.”

A Giant Te Fiti figure will also be part of the attraction.

The numerous active Cast Members who are present at the construction site every day are proof that the project is moving very swiftly. And one rock formation seems to have already appeared! We can’t wait to see this unique experience when it opens!
