Ranveer Singh starrer sports drama ’83’ is declared tax free in Delhi. Shibashish Sarkar, the CEO of Reliance Entertainment, thanks Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for declaring the film tax-free in the region.

Sarkar tweeted: “Thank you, Shri. @arvindkejriwal ji and Shri. @msisodia.aap ji, for declaring the film 83 tax-free in Delhi! Your gesture will able us to propagate the tale of India’s greatest victory to a wider audience. @therealkapildev #ThisIs83.”

 

83 highlights India winning the 1983 World Cup under the leadership of Kapil Dev, portrayed by Ranveer Singh. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film also stars actors Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree. “It’s been a labour of love that we have nurtured for years. I cannot wait for everyone to finally watch that come alive on screen,” the Kabir Khan says about the film

At its world premiere on December 15, it also received a standing ovation at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah. During the same week, the movie’s trailer was also played on the majestic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
